Hello!

Welcome to my first proper home on the web. My name is d.a.walker and I am a singer songwriter based in Adelaide, Australia. Here you will find info on my music, mp3s, songs and random thoughts!

I'm doing my music independently now, approaching 30 and realising that there is so much more to life than commercial success and record deals! So my musical ventures will appear on here and who knows where!

But it's not all about me (thank god!), chit-chat on films, music, news, whatever is welcome so let yourself go nuts. Just don't get me sued hehe!

Anyway must go, I need some tea!

Surprisingly well, considering I'm due to lose my freedom - ahem, embrace the joys of permanent partnership, I mean Wink

- in a mere four days. Shocked

I can't believe how calm I am actually, I thought I'd be a gibbering wreck by this point, but I'm rather looking forward to the whole thing now it's almost upon me. I don't feel as nervous about the ceremony/dress etc as I did a few weeks ago.

In the meantime, I have four days of singledom left. Trust me to be stuck here with a gayer. Rolling Eyes

Yes, it might look a tad disrespectful if I stumble down the aisle gulping vodka straight from the bottle and telling all the goodlooking blokes I love them .... Mr. Green

I've just read for the first time the desire avenue message board. To be honest I still don't regret my furious resignation from posting there, but I do think that I said things a little too 'angrily'. I know there is probably nobody reading this little confession, maybe I am saying it out loud here as I don't want to say it there. I think Elizabeth really hit the nail on the head with her comments, which were 100 times more tactful than my own, so I am sorry for that.

I'm glad that I have been proved wrong with the board activity, maybe what I said sparked some life back into it, maybe it didn't, but one thing I can say is that for a message board to work you need to reply to each other, communicate, not take things so seriously, otherwise you don't achieve the one point of all of this, fun! Make it fun, enjoyable and you will always have people coming back because they like the place. CQD had it, and that was taken away from us. Recall what made that place magic and you are onto a winner.

If any of you are out there reading this, let them know there are no hard feelings....
